“Women and Culture”: annual “WeFor” event at the “Hellenic World” Cultural Center

From a timeless perspective, in the presence of distinguished and renowned personalities, but also students of the field of Culture, there will be a discussion on the role that women have and can play in this field in the years to come, as well as the protests that he acquires the role in Greece in 2021.

The event will take place in the presence of the General Secretary for Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality, Ms. Gianna Hormova and the lady Sofia Kounenaki – Efraimoglou, Vice-President of the Hellenic World Foundation and President of EEDEGE. The participants in the discussion will also be the lady Matina Goga, Communication and Curriculum Development Coordinator at the Center for Greek Studies at Harvard University in Greece, Programmer and Founder of USEUM, Luminous Valeonti and the actor Maximos Moumouris. The moderator of the discussion will be the journalist and presenter Anagnostopoulou gifts.

Each year is dedicated to a unique theme and aims to dynamically promote social issues, through actions, initiatives and, above all, the organization of events. For 2021, the WeFor “WeForWomen” campaign has Focus on women and equality. Discrimination can target a specific gender, but addressing it affects us all. As part of the holistic approach that the organization strives to serve, the “WeForWomen” campaign throws a curtain on an event that aims to highlight the The importance of women through the enlightenment of culture.

The event will end with a musical performance by Pavlina Voulgaraki.

The action will take place on Saturday 4 December at 12:30 pm in the “Iphigénie” room, of the “Hellenic World” Cultural Center of the Hellenic World Foundation, respecting all the necessary health protocols.
