AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Indian doctors met with the international deputy of the Scientific and Cultural Organization of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza.

“A large number of Shia Muslims and devout lovers of Imam Reza (AS) from India, who could not afford to visit the holy shrine in the city of Mashhad, northeastern Iran, embarked on the construction of a replica of the holy shrine in the country about 200 years ago,” International Deputy of the Scientific and Cultural Organization Seyyed Mohammad Zolfagari said at the meeting, noting that the place in New Delhi was built to the exact dimensions of the holy shrine bearing the flags of Imam Reza.

Zolfaghari added that other facilities such as a hospital, school, several cultural centers, libraries and pharmaceutical companies have also been opened near the replica of the holy shrine in the Indian capital to provide services to the public under Imam Reza’s name and banner.

Addressing the Indian delegation, he said, “You Indian doctors and officials in charge of Imam Reza Health Center in New Delhi, provide services to people under the name of Imam, so you are, in fact, servants of Imam Reza”.

Calling Indian visitors the blessed pilgrims of Imam Reza, Zolfaghari said, “You have found the opportunity to visit the holy shrine on the day of ‘Dahw al-Ard’ (25 of Dhul Qa’da on the lunar calendar, which means the spreading of the Earth).Making a pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Reza was suggested on this day; hence, you have been blessed”.

Insisting on the mutual cooperation between the holy shrine and the Indian centres, the international deputy of the Scientific and Cultural Organization concluded that such relations could help in better publicity of the teachings of Imam Reza in the subcontinent.
