Fellowship Cultural Arts Center announces two shows for the holidays

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) – The Fellowship Cultural Arts Center celebrates the holidays with two productions at the state-of-the-art 257-seat Mitchell and Ann Sieminski at Basking Ridge – A Christmas Carol presented by Centenary Stage Company and a concert by the New Jersey Festival Orchestra.

The first is Centenary Stage Company’s A Christmas Carol, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. and December 19 at 2:30 p.m. 19th-century London comes to life in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens with this adaptation by Stephen Temperley made especially for Centenary Stage Company. Probably the most popular piece of fiction Charles Dickens has ever written, A Christmas Carol was published in 1843. Charles Dickens, through the voice of Scrooge, continues to urge us to honor Christmas in our hearts and try to keep it year round. A Christmas carol promises to be a theatrical production the whole family can enjoy.

Then celebrate the New Year with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra on January 1 at 2:30 p.m. A New Year’s party and a cabaret-style event for the whole family, Go back promises a superb show of American musical theater song and dance presented in glorious symphonic splendor to herald the good times to come.

Renowned guest singers live from the Broadway stage, including Paige Faure, (Miss Saigon, Cinderella) and James Moye (Tootsie, dear Evan Hansen, Aladdin) and dancers from the Dance Theater of Harlem, join the New Jersey Festival Orchestra to swing to favorite tracks from America’s Great Songbook. Come revel in the musical genius of great American composers, exceptional vocal performers, dazzling dancer numbers and a world-class professional orchestra conducted by Maestro David Wroe. The 257-seat Mitchell and Ann Sieminski multi-purpose theater indoors The Center for Cultural Arts of the Bourse benefits from the design work of top theater, lighting and sound professionals who created the state-of-the-art space on the Fellowship Village campus in Basking Ridge, NJ.
