Cherish the Ladies will perform on December 3 at the Irish Cultural Center

UTICA – The Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley, 623 Columbia St., Utica, will present Cherish the Ladies – A Celtic Christmas, at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 3.

The show will be presented at the Five Points Public House Event Center.

Cherish the Ladies are an award-winning traditional Irish music ensemble that will perform their Irish Christmas pageant in the area.

This is a Christmas musical show featuring traditional American and Irish Christmas music. The composition of the musicians:

Joanie Madden – Flute Whistles, Harmony Vocals

Mary Coogan — guitar, mandolin

Mirella Murray — Accordion

Nollaig Casey — Violin

Gabriel Donohue — Piano, Vocals

Cathie Ryan – lead vocals

Bruce Foley – Vocals, Uilleann Pipes

Noel Spillane — Step Dancer (3rd in the world)

Led by National Heritage Award winner and All-Ireland Flute and Whistle Champion Joanie Madden, named by The Irish Voice Newspaper as one of the 25 most influential Irish Americans of the last quarter century, these musicians promise to create an evening that features a spectacular mix of virtuoso instrumental talent, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and breathtaking step dancing.

Their continued success as one of the best Celtic bands in the world is down to the ensemble’s ability to take the best of traditional Irish music and dance and present it in a hugely entertaining show.

Proof of vaccination as well as photo ID will be required for admission, masks are encouraged. Those who cannot provide proof or who are not vaccinated will be asked to wear a mask at all times.
